The land and property was purchased for a total £900,000 and planning was acheived for a riverside development of 22 units – all for private sale. The proposals included te replacement of a significant section of the river defence wall and the re-establishment of the public footpath between the new properties and the river Arun. The units were very traditional in style and included design features and key materials such as hand made bricks and clay roof tiles, as well as extensive use of high quality architectural metalwork. The project was a resounding success with all units being delivered on time and a final GDV of £5,825,000 being acheived.
